ECGrid Release Notes: Q2 2026

The following updates represent the latest advancements across the ECGrid infrastructure. This quarter’s headline release is the ECGrid MCP Server, which lets you access your ECGrid account through natural language, directly from AI agents and AI-powered applications. Alongside this, we’ve continued to invest in the tools and safeguards that keep your data moving securely and efficiently across ECGrid.

 Key New Capabilities: ECGrid Network

Interact With Your B2B Communications Right in Your AI Chat

ECGrid’s new MCP Server brings our full B2B connectivity layer directly into AI agents, AI assistants, and AI-powered applications through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). This gives you visibility into your ECGrid account through natural language, using read-only tools, right from the AI tools you already use. Learn more and get connected.

Key New Capabilities: ECGrid Simplify

Updated Features and Capabilities: ECGrid Simplify

AI Document Wizard

ECGrid Simplify users can now use the new AI Document Wizard to create their own file definitions through self-service. A file definition tells the system how to read a file that isn’t in standard EDI format. This update makes it faster to onboard new file types, giving you more control over the process and letting you move at your own pace.

Connector Portfolio Enhancements: ECGrid Simplify

Windows Service Client

The Windows Service Client now supports multiple connections to the SAP platform within a single instance, simplifying setup for customers managing more than one SAP connection.

Shopify

We’ve expanded our Shopify connector with several updates: it now captures payment information, next incoming date, company information tied to the Customer ID on an order, and the external Shopify ID. We’ve also added the ability to manually retrigger Shopify orders after they’ve been updated in Shopify, giving you more control when order details change downstream.

Security and Compliance: ECGrid Simplify

Password Updates

To strengthen security and meet compliance standards, we’ve updated our password requirements for logging into the portal. If your current password already meets the new requirements, no action is needed. If it doesn’t, you’ll be notified at your next login and walked through the update.

Multi-Factor Authentication

We’ve also implemented multi-factor authentication (MFA) for portal login, adding another layer of protection to your account. You’ll be notified at login and walked through the setup, with nothing to prepare ahead of time.

As you explore these new capabilities, we’re available to help you get the most out of them. Reach out to our team with any questions, or to talk through how these updates support your specific goals.
